Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR TEXT MESSAGE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR USE OF TEXT MESSAGING WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Hollywood Tans Official "Tan on the Street" Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time ("EST") on Saturday, April 12, 2008 and ends at 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, June 12, 2008 (the "Sweepstakes Period").

HOW TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Period, there are two (2) ways to enter: 1. Online: visit www.hollywoodtans.com and follow the directions provided to vote for your favorite body part; then, complete and submit an online entry form. 2. Text-Message: Text message "Tans" to 32075 from your text message capable mobile phone and automatically receive one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes. You must be a wireless service subscriber with text messaging functionality to enter via this method as of the start date of the Sweepstakes. Check your phone capabilities for specific text messaging instructions. Standard text messaging rates apply for any text messages sent or received. You will receive a confirmation text message following entry for which you will be charged . See your wireless provider for pricing plan details. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, June 12, 2008 to be eligible. Sweepstakes participants can enter as often as they like. Incomplete entries are not eligible. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means are void. Any personal information that is submitted by the entrants will be for internal use only and will not be shared with any other parties.

ELIGIBILITY: This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, D.C., FL, GA, HI, MA, MI, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA and WV who are 18 years of age or older. Void outside the listed states and where prohibited. Employees of Hollywood Tans ("Sponsor"), its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies and their immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and their immediate family members, whether or not related are ineligible to enter or win. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

NOTIFICATION: The potential winner will be selected in a random drawing held on or about June 19, 2008 from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winner will be notified by first-class mail, mobile phone or e-mail on or about July 1, 2008. Sponsor will make three (3) attempts to contact the winner within such time frame as specified by Sponsor. If Sponsor is unable to contact the winner within three (3) attempts, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor's sole discretion, an alternate winner may be selected. Potential winner may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within a time period specified by Sponsor. Failure to return such documents within the specified time period, the return of a prize notification as undeliverable or if potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor's sole discretion, an alternate winner selected. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. 

PRIZE (1): The winner will receive one (1) year of free tanning in Hollywood Tans' HT54 booth (awarded as a gift card, redeemable for one (1) tanning session per day). Prize can only be redeemed at one (1) Hollywood Tans salon location.
All federal, state, and local taxes, and all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution, cash redemption or transfer of prize is permitted, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. Gift certificate is subject to certain terms and conditions as specified by Hollywood Tans. Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize: $420. All prize details are at Sponsor's sole discretion. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree that Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees and representatives (the "Released Parties") EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY WITH RESPECT TO THE PRIZES AWARDED. RELEASED PARTIES SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY ENTRANTS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY, FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY OR DEATH BY REASON OF ANY ACT OR OMISSION, WHETHER NEGLIGENT OR NOT, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION OR USE/MISUSE OF THE PRIZE (INCLUDING ANY HARM/INJURY RESULTING FROM USE OF THE HT54 BOOTH) OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, garbled, delayed, stolen, incomplete, undeliverable or misdirected entries or text messages.  Released Parties are also not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, wireless service, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries or text messages, the announcement of the prize or in any Sweepstakes-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of the website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes or website or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Should any portion of the Sweepstakes be, in Sponsor's sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winner from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, address (city and state), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide in perpetuity, without notice or review or approval. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same mobile phone number, the authorized subscriber of the mobile phone number at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the mobile phone number by wireless service provider responsible for assigning that mobile phone number.

Winner's Name: For the name of the winner (available after August 1, 2008), send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Hollywood Tans "Tan on the Street" Sweepstakes Winner, 11 Enterprise Court, Sewell, NJ 08080 for receipt no later than September 1, 2008.
